Following the rebranding of PSNC as Community Pharmacy England, Walsall LPC was renamed Community Pharmacy Walsall, covering all community pharmacies in the Borough. CPW members are drawn from Community Pharmacists working locally, supported by Executive Officers who all have background and experience in Community Pharmacy. CPW represents all sectors of Community Pharmacy and consults on all relevant matters within Black Country Integrated Care Board and Primary Care.
This webpage provides information on the Pharmacy First service, which commenced on 31st January 2024. The service was announced as part of an an agreement setting out how the Delivery plan for recovering access to primary care will be used to support community pharmacy services. The two previous elements of the Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) were incorporated into the Pharmacy First service.
The Essential Services listed below are offered by all pharmacy contractors as part of the NHS Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (the ‘pharmacy contract’).
There are several Advanced Services within the NHS Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF). Community pharmacies can choose to provide any of these services as long as they meet the requirements set out in the Secretary of State Directions.
